Cankut Demirkol is the Technical Sales Manager at Polarkonsult, the company renowned for its expertise in ship design, inspections, and offshore engineering.
What's the latest in your industry/business?
We are now having preperations for our 50th year. We are a robust company up in the north and our aim is to continue serving our community with our expertise and competence. We are working on 3 main segments:
Ship design for the global market.
Inspections and surveys.
Engineering services for the energy, oil and gas sector such as: Extensive offshore engineering and structural analysis as well as documentation, animation and training material.
Our knowledge and experience from naval architecture and marine engineering provides a valuable competence basis, especially for all kinds of floating objects related to exploration, development, installation and the M&M market.
What do you see as the major challenges facing your company in the near future?
The biggest challenges we are facing right now is the politics and geo-political risks and rising costs. Which effects the sectors that we are supporting.
For us Outlook North is a platform that we can meet with the young minds and discuss different ideas.
Do you have any exciting plans for the future?
We are always aiming to be competent and supportive to our community up in the north and with this respect we are always in a process where we are updating ourselves. We are working in different and exiting project for our customers and also working on tasks to make our working environment more comfortable for our staff.
Are you in search of more staff?
As a result of updating ourselves we are always open for new team members and also new graduated students. We believe that with the new team members we are increasing our competence level and also our vision. Each member adds additional value to PK brand and we are getting stronger with the different perspectives from different team members. Diversity is our strength as an engineering company.

Who do you hope to meet at Outlook North?
We are hoping to meet anyone who is interested in different engineering solutions. For us Outlook North is a platform that we can meet with the young minds and discuss different ideas. It is also a good place to meet customers and suppliers for a good chat.
